It's going to be a showdown between the NBA's two best teams when the Utah Jazz hits the Phoenix Suns at the Phoenix Suns Arena on Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET at the Phoenix Suns Arena.

The Jazz led the league with their 38-12 record, despite a nine-game winning streak ending Monday with a 111-103 loss to the Mavericks in Dallas as a 5.5-point favorite.

A winning streak in six games lifted the Suns record to 35-14. They have also won nine of their last 10 games, including sliding at Rockets 133-130 on Monday in Houston as a 14-point favorite.

Off night for jazz

The Jazz had its lowest score since February 7, in its loss to the Mavericks. Utah only shot 27.3% (12:44) from three-point distance and top scorer Donovan Mitchell was limited to 16 points in 6-of-23.

The Jazz is the second best three-point shooting team in the NBA with 39.5%. They also lead the league with threes and tried threes.

Mike Conley was the only player to succeed remotely on Monday, making 6 out of 10 attempts to finish with 28 points. Conley also had seven templates.

It was Conley's eleventh game this season with 20 points or more and the second time in his last three games he has hit that mark.

Mitchell was kept under 20 for the ninth time in 47 games. He is 12th in the league in the ranking with an average of 25.6.

Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson also had 16 points each and Rudy Gobert scored his 34th double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks made 23 of 49 three-point attempts for 46.9%. Jazz is also in second place in the three-point defense with 34.4%.

Booker on Fire

Devin Booker kept the Suns from getting upset in Houston as he had 37 points, six rebounds and six assists. He made 6 out of 8 shots from outside the bow.

Booker has scored 113 points for an average of 37.7 in its last three games. He has won over 30 points in four of the last five games and 14 times this season.

His average of 25.9 points is 10th in the NBA.

Deandre Ayton reached a season high with 27 points in the 10-of-14 shooting. He also had 11 rebounds when he scored his 25th double-double.

Mikal Bridges was there with 20 points and reached this mark for the first time in 23 games.

Chris Paul had his third straight double-double and 15th of the season, finishing with 19 points, 11 assists, five rebounds and four steals.

It was also Paul's 500th career game with at least 10 templates. He is the fifth player in league history to join John Stockton, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash.

The suns shot 51.2% (44 out of 86) from the ground and 48.6% (18 out of 37) from a distance. However, they allowed the missiles to fire 54.4% (43 out of 79) from the field and 51.5% (17 out of 33) from outside the arc.

Phoenix forced Houston to make 18 sales.

Suntan annoyed last time

The teams met one more time this season when the Suns won 106-95 as a four-point underdog in Utah on Dec. 31. This is also the last home defeat of jazz, which has since lost 22 times in a row in the Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Booker had 25 points and seven assists to guide the Suns, who made 51.5% (17 out of 35) of their three. Bridges and Jae Crowder each had 16 points.

Mitchell led jazz with 23 points. Gobert added 18 points and 14 rebounds and Conley added 16 points.

Regardless of your clunker Monday in Dallas, look to the jazz – which may have looked down on Wednesday – to get revenge on this matchup.
