Defending champions Mumbai Indians took their first win of the new Indian Premier League season with a 10-time loss to Kolkata Knight Riders.
Mumbai was left out in Chennai for 152, with Andre Russell winning 5-15 in just two overs.
Kolkata, led by Eoin Morgan, were 72-0 in the ninth game.
But they were suffocated by Mumbai spinners Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya, and only four managed to finish on 142-7.
New Zealander Trent Boult held his nerve after Russell caught and bowled Pat Cummins and then threw the next ball.
That came after Legspinner Chahal took the first four wickets to drop in his numbers from 4-27.
Shubman Gill got caught in the long run for 33, Nitish Rana blunt for 57, Morgan for seven in the middle of the wicket and Rahul Tripathi for five.
Then the poor left Krunal did a stingy spell of 1-13 that included Shakib sweeping Al Hasan to a deep square leg.
It was left to the seasoned couple Russell and Dinesh Karthik, who were still together at the start of the finals, but at that point Kolkata had no idea where the next run was coming from.
The result continues Mumbai's dominance over Kolkata. The five-time champion has now won 22 of 28 completed games.
