Arsenal fans take comfort in sending Sam Allardyce to the championship as Saka stands out again

Arsenal prevailed against West Bromwich Albion tonight and fans of the club have now reached out on social media to poke fun at Sam Allardyce.

Willian breaks his duck

The Gunners were back in action recently.

Mikel Arteta and Co. welcomed West Brom to the Emirates for a clash in the Premier League.

The matchup was, in truth, of little concern to the hosts, who were playing for pride on the back of an embarrassing exit from Europe during the week.

The visiting Baggies, however, were aware that if they lost that evening, they would be confirmed relegation to the championship.

And that's exactly what happened when everything was said and done in north London.

In an entertaining affair, Arsenal eventually emerged on the right-hand side of a 3-1 standings and climbed back via Leeds to ninth place in the English top table.

Emile Smith Rowe opened the game just before the half-hour and hit Bukayo Saka's delivery from the left to score his first Premier League goal:

Nicolas Pepe was next, turning a breathtaking effort over the clutches of Sam Johnstone into the top corner of the visitor net.

West Brom managed to pull one back a little over twenty minutes from time as Matheus Pereira continued to impress with the 10th goal of a good single campaign.

But Arsenal dashed any hope of a comeback in the final moments of the matchup when Willian scored the first goal of his stint with the Gunners thanks to an excellent free kick.

Saka with / Allardyce as a target

After the end of the action in the capital, however, neither Willian nor the other scorers Smith Rowe or Pepe received the praise.

Instead it was the young Bukayo Saka.

The 19-year-old was forced into an awkward left-back tonight as Kieran Tierney wasn't fit enough for a second straight start.

And, it seems, no matter where he plays, Saka thoroughly impressed, leading to a number of eye-catching statistics about the making of Arsenal's crown jewel:

19 – Bukayo Saka has made 19 assists in all competitions for @Arsenal, the most player in the club since debuting in November 2018. Resourceful.

– OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) May 9, 2021

Saka has assisted or scored goals from left-back, right-back, central midfield, right and left winger this season.

Aside from Saka praise, Gunners believers have also used social media in their numbers for a completely different reason.

This is because supporters of Mikel Arteta's men found solace in another hugely overwhelming campaign when they sent a team led by Sam Allardyce back to the championship for the first time in his managerial career:
