Tottenham Hotspur agrees Cristian Romero cope with Atalanta
Tottenham Hotspur have reached a deal with Atalanta to sign Cristian Romero in the summer transfer window Sky Sports. It has been reported that Premier League club Tottenham will pay Italian club Atalanta £ 42.7m (€ 50m) plus bonuses for the 23-year-old Argentina international.
Romero, who won the Copa America with Argentina this summer, will be flying to London in the next 24 hours to complete the move to Spurs. The young defense attorney will then agree personal terms and conditions before putting a five-year contract on paper.
The Argentine is one of the best center-backs in Serie A and helped Atalanta to third place in the table last season. Romero played 42 games in all competitions for the Italian club, which brought Merih Demiral to replace the Argentine.
